
WELCOME
The Château Lamartine stands at the extremely west side of the Cahors Appellation, on the oldest Lot Valley’s terraces. On those terroirs of clay and limestone, the 37 hectares look at the South which ensures the best maturity to the Malbec.
For four generations, the Gayraud family gives the greatest care to the wine-growing as the wine-making. This is the key to get the purest expression from the terroirs.
In 2016, Alain and Brigitte give the hand to their children:
« Our brother and sister tandem is our strength, our terroirs are our wealth.
Our idea: a wine-growing always cleaner, wines always finer ».

At the end of the 60’s, 15 Cahors winemakers were involved in the AOP creation. Our great grand dad, Edouard, was one of them. They obtained the AOP in 1971.
